En cette période post confinement je cherche à rassembler mes actions , et les
recherches autour du projet Vertical strike.
Le projet est lié à la rencontre avec Marinela, une danseuse de Pole Dance de Miami,
rencontrée à l’occasion d’une résidence aux Etats-Unis soutenue par l’institut Français dans le cadre du programme de résidence hors-les-murs. J’ai pris pour point de départ ses échanges avec cette danseuse et la pensée d’Amalia Jones d’imaginer d’autres formes possibles de féminismes. En dépit des performances athlétiques qu’implique la pratique de la pole dance, cette forme principalement réservée aux clubs de striptease, souffre d’une image particulièrement négative et entraine la stigmatisation des femmes qui la pratique.
Grâce à Marinela j’ai pu faire partie d’une petite famille et apprendre moi-même la pole dance. De retour en France le projet est né.

I have found performance to be a porous, permissive, protean medium. In this post-lockdown period, I am looking to gather my actions and research around the Vertical strike project. The project is linked to an encounter with Marinela, a pole dancer from Miami, who I met during a residency in the United States supported by the French Institute as part of the Hors-les-murs residency program. I took these exchanges with this dancer and Amalia Jones' thought of imagining other possible forms of feminism as a starting point. In spite of the athletic performances that the practice of pole dance implies, this form, which is mainly reserved for striptease clubs, suffers from a particularly negative image and involves the stigmatisation of the women who practice it.
Thanks to Marinela I was able to become part of a small family and learn pole dancing myself. Back in France, the project was born.
